Recently purchased: Gates, 6 and 12 inch auger attachment for the tractor, and another water bin for the horses. Which was 1500.
SO got another gate put in this weekend with it after getting it stuck a few times because the ground is so dry and hard.
We are starting to get a lot of attachments
I am wanting to put up another horse shelter before January so the horses have a dry place to get out of the weather and protection so the hay will stay fresh. My grey mare Skye gets rain rot very easily and sometimes it’s too warm for me to leave on her rain sheets during our winter/wet season. SO is working on a material list for this.
He will also be seeding the pastures in October! I am in charge of finding the no till drill to rent and the seed amount. After the pastures get overseeded, they are supposed to rest for 4-5 months which means we are definitely going to have sacrifice pastures this winter & will for sure need the shelter to make sure their feet stay nice and dry with dry hay.
I am already putting out hay for the horses because I never want my babies going hungry. Skye is on a powerpack wormer set for 5 days and I’ll be changing her grain over. She’s a body score of 4 and I like my horses for be a 5-6 especially going into winter.
I just went and got a load of square bale alfalfa mix this past weekend and have a lead on some round bales with alfalfa mix as well! If you can't tell I love alfalfa mixes for my thoroughbreds especially.
This next weekend, I am going to haul over to Green river with Shelby my friend boarder and take murphy trail riding (depending on weather) with his new front shoes on! He is so happy with having these on.
Doesn’t sound like a whole lot but we are constantly hopping!
Happy Friday eve everyone.
