The best things of a horse farm

I also have a worst things of owning a farm I’ll put up as well but I have been in a particularly thankful mood lately.

Fall is now my favorite season as a former summer girlie I still love the hot sun scorching my skin but I appreciate the invigorating fall days, hoodies and the taste of coffee is just better this time of year.

One of my favorite things about having a farm is opening the door and letting kiddo and the dog just run outside. I can sit on the porch and relax after the chores and just enjoy the peace.

The peaceful look of contentment the horses have after I’ve fed them their dinner grain. The slow blinking eyes and cocked back legs while they much on fresh hay and topped up clean waters.

It’s one of my favorite feelings when I know I’ve got everything on the farm well fed and happy.

Walks at sunset around the farm smelling the trees and taking in the view.

Last night it was in the 50's and I love it

Looking directly outside my window to see the horses grazing or napping.

Weekend mornings where I get a slow morning outside sipping my coffee.

The freedom of getting to walk outside in whatever attire I want because the neighbors can’t see.

moody walks. this was november last year

The freedom of just thinking about what animals I might want or if someone drops off a dog I can take it because..land!

farm utility vehicles we get to drive around for working but it's also fun!

Getting to raise my son on a farm where he can truly learn the value and satisfaction of hard work.

Country people have skills I value and want my son to learn and be fully capable.

Some of my favorite days are days I don’t leave the farm. I don’t have to go anywhere for entertainment because it’s all here. A horse to ride, or a bike, walking trails, or porch side relaxing with a book.

Just some mid week rambles as the seasons begin to change .

Happy fall.
