I guess I should start off with a weekend recap.
Saturday was a fun day where I just cleaned the house, did laundry, played outside and that night we went out to a super cute super vibey restaurant and had the best time! I discovered this restaurant when I went out to dinner last week with my horse girl friends and absolutely loved it!
There is definitely something magical about Christmas time restaurants in the town square.
On Sunday I got to trailer over to my friends house where she had so kindly set up almost a full course for our lesson! Murphy was a wild man this lesson because the weather was BRISK and there was so much happening. I had a blast even though it wasn’t pretty at some points and I may have almost fallen off Hehe.
Afterwards I got back and my sister and her family came over and the normal Sunday get ready for work stuff happened.
Last night (Tuesday ) the horses got their sheets changed out to medium weight blankets as it was 50F last night and 32F this morning with snow coming down. The only benefit to changing blankets so much is keeping a solid eye on everyone’s condition. The 2 boys are still quite round and Skye is actually still looking solidly filled out. She’s such a high shedder I have to worm her every few months .
I always keep a round bale out for everyone and some nice alfalfa mix in hay bags to force feed her as much as possible.
Christmas is coming soon and I still haven’t finished my gift shopping but I am getting closer. Work is really busy during this time so I am firing on about 1 cylinder right now but I am still carrying the excitement of getting out to a show in the early spring with Murphy to hopefully hold me through the winter.
This morning I tried to sneak out early for a workout at the gym but my kiddo is in a stage where as soon as he feels me leave the bed he is awake and he doesn’t want dad he just wants mom. Fun, fun. There’s so many days I so wish I could be a stay at home mom or just run the farm with my kiddo.
Anyways, I hope everyone is thriving out there and not just surviving.
Peace
